Description
Mommy Jobs Online is seeking to strengthen their transcription team. We are looking for experienced, quality-focused transcribers in the area of post-production.
We have continuing positions with flexible hours, however, weekends are needed.
Right now we are in a very busy season with lots of work to be handed out. As with any transcription company the work fluctuates to the demands of our clients. So you are hired on a project-to-project basis.
This is a remote position, work from the comfort of your own home as an independent contractor. You should reside in the U.S., Canada, or Australia. You will be paid by check once a week.
Weekenders are needed: Thursday, Friday, Saturdays.
The Ideal Candidate will have the ability to:
-Communicate on a daily basis with the Project Manager, check and respond to emails daily and in an efficient manner.
-Transcribe multi-speakers, transcribe verbatim, transcribe accurately even with background noise and overlapping conversations.
-Accept difficult files as well as the easier files.
-Use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, proficiently research uncertain names and words using Google and other search engines.
-Read, understand and follow the instructions and style guide for each assignment, type and proof your transcripts to 98% accuracy,
-Be available for 24 turnaround times - it is imperative that you are available for corrections, if needed, after submission of your transcription assignment, insert time codes every 30-40 seconds or how instructed per guide.
-Use MS Word proficiently
You will be asked to take a Skills Assessment Test and to complete a 6-minute transcription evaluation to be considered for onboarding.
The pay rate varies depending on the quality of the file and the amount of speakers. It goes from $0.75 to $1.10 per audio minute. Once our transcribers have proven themselves we can trust them with the rush work that pays more.
